Lake Improvements 2015

This summer a small party of us went over to Lagune Lassi and dug out a new stock pond. It was a huge project for us to take on but the end result is more then we could have imagined.

Lake Improvements 2014

From Dave Lander – Lake Owner.

A party of us keen anglers travelled to Lagune Lassi to do an end off year work party.  We spent in total 10 days working on and around the lake with the the main job for being putting new gates on the fishery.  The other project was to have the cabin swim dug out and landscaped. This was the biggest project we have done.

After we had finished the  working day its was time to fish, and fish we did! The fishing was not easy but we did catch some. Chris opened with a fine 42 lb mirror followed  by Dave Poulton  with two mirrors of  44lb and 40lb.  The lads landed several fish over 30lb whilst I fished the cabin swim. Chris then had a truly wonderful perfect 50lb common. After a slow start I managed two 30lb plus fish  followed by a 47lb common.  The fish were coming out slowly with a few more 30lb plus mirrors. On the thursday  night I had a new pb common of 57lb .

The  work party ended on a high,  we landed over 600lb of carp with 2 fiftys and 5 fortys. Roll on next year!
